  • Practical recommendation on the fittest approach to perform the captive breeding and restocking action on macrostigma trout - Part 1 (Genetic analysis)

    Deliverable A2
This deliverable (in italian) contains the results of genetic testing carried out on 796 individuals of brown trout coming from 35 sampling locations in seven river basins (Metauro, Cesano, Esino, Potenza, Chienti, Tenna, Nera) and three trout farms. In the first year of the project (2014) the technical and scientific activities were focused on the genetic crossbreeding between macrostigma and Atlantic trout. Luckily the work done so far has allowed the identification of populations with a good level of genetic purity. In particular, the analysis have revealed the presence of three different stock of macrostigma trout, respectively widespread in the Black River (1 genetic stock), in Tenna (2nd genetic stock) and in the Chienti and Potenza basins (3rd genetic stock ).

  • Practical recommendation on the fittest approach to perform the captive breeding and restocking action on macrostigma trout - Part 2 (Ecological analysis)

    Deliverable A2 - A3
This deliverable (in italian) contains the results of the environmental analysis carried out in 32 sites identified within the surveyed area, which helped to deepen the knowledge about the characteristics of seven river basins  (Metauro, Cesano, Esino, Potenza, Chienti, Tenna, Nera). The aim of the  analysis, related to the period from spring to fall 2014, was to contribute to identifying the most suitable waterways for the implementation of conservation activities. These action also allowed our experts to collect several information concerning the ecology of macrostigma trout living in the area (structure and population dynamics, growth) and to define the best management strategies needed to improve the status of this species.

  • Questionari per il monitoraggio dell'impatto socio economico delle azioni di progetto

One of the aims of the Life+ Trout project is to assess the potential socio-economic impacts of the project activities. To gather the information stakeholders (businesses, local governments, students, tourists etc.) are annually asked to fill the enclosed questionnaire (in italian).
